Treatment - SECOND NARRATIVE IDEA

The Adventure of Nadia

Tagline: The world is smaller than you think!
Genre: Comedy/Adventure

The opening of the film was inspired from ‘Goodfellas’ and some ideas from ‘Forest Gump’

This film starts of with a boy who is known for always holding a map in his hand and tells the audience three things he loves (Voice over or subtitles). “I love football (shot of him kicking a ball, I love drawing (shot of him drawing), I love reading (shot of him reading). He then says but most of all I love the world and wants to visit India.

He has a disability which is autism (Autism is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and communication) and so struggles to speak to people and communicate which is why his best friend is the map (loner).

As he isn’t smart due to his disability (stereotypical representation of characters with disabilities) he seems to think that every person who looks like there from a country is from there. He also tries getting to India through the map direction (India is in Asia so east)

So he’s on a journey to India, but in school? He sees white students (2) dressed smartly outside in the cold and called them Austrian (Crosses Austria on his map). He sees an Arab girl dressed in her traditional clothes and calls her Iran (Iman) (Crosses Iran on his map). He finally gets to India seeing an Indian boy.

Tell me what you think about it. I know there can still be improvements.
